Weekend Warrior

Meet Jonny, our resident Weekend Warrior. From Monday to Friday he’s behind the wheel for KTL Transport, keeping Hawke’s Bay supplied with stones, bark, and soil — and then, come the weekend, he somehow manages to fill and empty the Expressway Landscape Supplies yard all over again.

Jonny’s the kind of bloke who’s always happy to lend a hand, whether it’s loading a trailer, moving product, or swapping truck stories with customers. He reckons a good weekend involves a bit of hard work, some laughs with the crew, and maybe a lucky coffee shout if Boonie’s around.

He’s also single and quietly hoping to find love one Saturday, though most of his weekends are already booked solid with early mornings in the maimai. A keen shotgun shooter, Jonny spends his autumn chasing pheasants and ducks across the Bay — and he’s a pretty sharp shot, too.
