Between them, Kent and Kirsty keep Expressway Landscape Supplies — and life — running smoothly (most of the time). As co-owners, they’re the heart and humour behind the business, balancing trucks, customers, kids, and chaos with a mix of hard work and good laughs.

Kent handles the inwards goods, staffing, and emails, and is still fine-tuning his customer service tone after years in transport. Born in Pongaroa, he came to boarding school in Napier, married a local farmer’s daughter — and never left. He’s often found trying to beat Boonie to the delivery truck, purely so he can justify a stop at the ice-cream shop, or heading to Māhia for a bit of fishing when he can sneak away.

Kirsty, meanwhile, is the backbone of everything — including Kent. She’s famously never on time, but somehow still keeps everyone else organised. Between running the household and coordinating Ollie and Maggie’s ever-busy schedules, she also works full-time outside the business, saving diligently for the next overseas family holiday. Her favourite days are when Kent takes the kids fishing so she can enjoy some peace walking the dog on the beach.
